A New Roof for a Historic Building — Community-Minded Renovation by Connell Roofing
The historic 1856 building once housing the Old South Meeting House is getting a new lease on life — thanks to generous support from Connell Roofing. In collaboration with Habitat for Humanity and local preservation funds, Connell Roofing has donated and installed a brand-new roof, preserving this Franklin landmark while transforming it into a safe, welcoming three-bedroom home for a deserving family. With nearly 70 years as a family-owned business, Connell Roofing says giving back means more than doing business — it means building community and protecting heritage. Their contribution supports historic preservation and housing stability, turning what could have been demolition into a meaningful opportunity.
